The Early Bird Catches the worm

Not sure why they call it the "terrible twos". I heard so much about it, I thought I'd try it out early. There ain't nothing terrible about it! I can do what I want, when I want. Nothing can stop me now!

Mom's looking a little wild eyed, though. I feel kinda bad about that. She still gives me lotsa hugs, so I guess she can't be too mad.

Honk

Toilet Time

One of my new favorite things to do is use the toilet. When I see mommy or daddy go, I insist that they let me go too. Usually, I just sit there, but I did actually poop twice already into the toilet. Mommy and Daddy got so excited they cheered and clapped. It was great fun!

I decided to play a little trick on Mommy the other day. I asked to go to the toilet ("Kaka"). She got me undressed, took off my diaper, and sat me on the seat. As usual, I tore off some toilet paper and threw it into the bowl. I didn't go though. When Mommy took me off, i ran away before she could put the diaper back on me. Where did I run, you ask? Into her bedroom. What did I spot right away? The empty laundry hamper. Well, in i climbed. What did I do? Peed.

Hee hee.

Get it? Got it? Good!

I'm so very frustrated! I want something and Mom & Dad just can't figure out what it is. I keep telling them over and over again. What about the word "Teh" is it that they just can't understand? It's crystal clear to me. I've been forced to start gesticulating to get my point across. It's humiliating. I can feel the pleading look in my eyes as I hope they get it this time. Sigh... I guess I've got to keep trying. C'mon guys!

Talking Points

You know what's useful? Being able to refer to one's self. Like, if I wanted a drink from Daddy's cup, I used to point to the cup and say "uh! mm! uh!". Now all I do is look at the cup and say, "Beh-Beh?" If I think the point needs a little oomph, I'll point at my chest, too. Works like a charm.

Actually, all sorts of words are useful:
- "Spoo" (spoon)
- "Cah" (encore/again)
- "Biby" (Sara/baby)
- "Whozzat?" (Hi, Sara)
- "Diddy" (Daddy and/or Mommy)
- "Mama" (an animal's parent)
- "Caw" (car)
- "Hohhhhm" (home)
- "They-et-is!" (there it is)
- "Uh oh" (I dropped something)
- "Honk" (let me squeeze your nose, please)

And my favourite:
- "Bus! Bus! BUS! BUSSS! Bus!" (I saw a bus)

Love,
Ben Ben
